Well, I suppose welcome to issue #2. First off, let me apologize for taking so fucking long to get it out. Next time I’ll try to shave off some lethargy.

So, anyhow, a shitload’s happened on a world wide basis since #1. We’ve had some massive protests – Washington, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Prague. I wanted to use some of the intro space to discuss some of my feelings after watching these events unfold. I do wish that I could have been there for any or all of the protests, but on the other hand, it did give me a chance to witness the media coverage (or more so, lack of it).  Simply put, I was disappointed in much of it. There was some, but generally it seemed as though people were more into whether Wanker A or Crony B was going to come out as leader of the United States of Money.

From my outside perspective, it seemed as though there was a real lack of concern or even interest in the protests. A lot of people just sat back and ignored it (aside from a few politicians, the pigs and the greed lawyers). In any case my feelings are mixed about the results of these events. The optimist in me says “keep organizing protests – bigger, louder, more difficult to drown out with ‘politics as usual’”. The pessimist seems to feel that no matter how loud we yell, scream and cry, most people will just crank their Yanni or Top 40 or rap-metal or whatever shit people are listening to lately. This leads me to my dualistic fulcrum point; how loud must we shout? Can we ever reach the sound proof window of the ivory towers? Need we tear them down brick by brick? I wish I had the solution to that one. For now though, I feel like we simply can’t give up. We need to continue our war of words and thoughts and ideas, until, maybe just maybe, we loosen a few of those ivory bricks.

Once again my hope is that you find intrigue and pleasure as well as thought and idea within these pages. Keep freedom in your minds and deeds.
